make your own BAKED FALAFEL 🌴

Hey guys!

We’ll make baked falafel today, as it is, after all, second most cooked dish with chickpeas – after hummus of course!

You’ll need:

  • Food processor
  • 2  cans chickpeas
  • 1/2 large red onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup parsley
  • 1/4 cup green onion
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

Note: you can totally make flour-free falafel – just be careful and mindful when in the oven to turn over.

You’ll prepare it like:

  • Add all the ingredients to a food processor until it comes to a consistent paste.
  • Take a tablespoon of the paste and add it to a baking tray. Slightly tap it until you have a pattie and set it in the oven for 35-45 minutes.
  • Eat warm or at room temperature, or store up to 5 days.
  • Enjoy!
