Today I had a really nice post prepared about easily flavored waters… but my phone fell into the sink, and then drown itself slowly into the water to what was clearly its death. Farewell, my friend. Still dealing with the disappointment, anger, hopelessness of losing all my notes, pictures, playlists… argh, so many feelings. How to deal with such feeling? Here’s a list of things that usually help.
- Listening to some jazz;
- Take a bath;
- Read a little;
- Do a facial mask;
- Write a letter;
- Plan a fun evening;
- Watch a movie;
- Lighting up some candles;
Anyhow, because today has been so frustrating I treated myself and my flatmate to some easy, tasty and nourishing soul bowls. Soul bowl is the name we give to just a bowl full of earthy foods that are fulfilling and good for you – mind, body and soul. Usually, this includes rice, quinoa, pasta or potatoes as a base, and then all the veggies I have laying around on top. No jokes. Seasoning-wise, I’ll always go for my balsamic vinegar mustard and voilá!
This one contains black quinoa, sweet potato, basmati rice, coriander, red onion, yellow pepper, tomatoes, and beetroot.
