Red Bell Pepper Hummus

Hey everyone!

Here is a quick, lovely recipe for you:

Serves: 6
Category: Vegan/ Vegetarian

Ingredients: 

  • 3 red bell peppers
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 canned chickpeas
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 lemon (juice)
  • 5 tablespoons of olive
  • 3/4 cups of tahini

How do you prepare it?

– Start by roasting your bell peppers in direct flames until they become dark and lovely in all edges them take them to the sink and peel it off with cold water;
– Use one can of chickpeas in a food processor with the tahini and let it roll for 1 minute;
– Add the red peppers, chopped, and the olive oil and give it another minute;
– Finally, add the rest of the chickpeas, the garlic, the lemon and the salt and give it another minute;

Tip: when your hummus is in the food processor it tends to get stuck to the edges… Scrap it off to the center of the food processor before pulsing again, to help the hummus be textured, nice and fluffy.

(Please note this is not the picture of the hummus in the recipe because I suck sometimes and forgot to take a picture, but you get my point.)
